Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a full-time (37.5 Hours) Pharmacy Technician out of our Akron Health Center. This candidate is passionate about serving marginalized and medically underserved populations. This opportunity is foundational to the launch of the broader strategy to improve health equity through comprehensive primary care to our communities.
SUMMARY
A pharmacy technician works closely with the Director of Pharmacy Services and other pharmacy staff. This person locates, dispenses, packs, and labels prescribed medication for patient and client that is reviewed for accuracy by the pharmacist before dispensing to patient/client. They will support the work of the pharmacy by helping with administrative tasks as well as working with the pharmacy's walk-in clients.
To be successful in this role, they must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician as defined by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy. They must be customer-focused and remain up to date with the latest advances in pharmaceutical science.
